I’m a self-taught artist who loves to experiment with different kinds of art from digital to traditional media, including pencil, charcoal, acrylic painting, watercolor and comics. I find that working in a new medium helps me improve my skills in the media that I'm already familiar with. I’ve also been fortunate enough to receive some training at Ubisoft Campus (a video game company) in Casablanca and to see my works exhibited both in my home country and abroad.
My preferred style is dark fantasy and surrealism. Although I can emulate many other styles as well. I enjoy probing the inner depths of the human mind and exteriorizing the darkness that many people keep hidden even from themselves. The Japanese artist Takato Yamamoto and the Danish artist Zdzisław Beksiński are some of my biggest influences.
My goal is to get to help connect artists all over the world so that we can cooperate and learn from each other. There’s always so much to learn. Art is a constant learning. Here in Shanghai I’m the founder and organizer of the Shanghai Sketch Group. We organize social events, workshops, and figure drawing sessions with new themes every week. I love meeting new artists, seeing how they work, and sharing ideas with them. I also run art workshops at Sip ’n’ Paint studio and other art centers in Shanghai: How to draw human figure, Instructed Life Drawing, Watercolor Abstract Portraiture and Still Life with Acrylic.
